     Joined National Theatre Company, London. Productions include Franco Zeffirelli's "Much Ado About Nothing", "Armstrong's Last Goodnight", "Trelawney of the Wells".

1966

     "Any Just Cause" with Jeremy Brett.

1970

     Title role in "Hamlet'' at Thorndike Theatre.

1973

     Broadway debut in world premiere production of Tennessee Williams' "Outcry".

1975

     "Ring Round the Moon" Ahmanson Theatre, Los Angeles, with Glynis Johns.

1980

     "Bent" on Broadway.

1981

     "Cyrano de Beraerac" the inaugural production of the Santa Fe Festival Theatre. As Cyrano.

1982

     Broadway musical debut in "The Little Prince" with Ellen Green.

1983

     Alexander Cohen's: "Parade of the Stars": "Phaedre" with Jeanne Moreau.

1986

     Founder member of the L.A. Classic Theatre Works.
     "Hollywood Salutes Pirandello" with Julie Harris and Amy Irving.

1990

     "Whisper in the Mind" with E.G. Marshall.

1991

     "The Crucible" National Actors Theatre inaugural production, Broadway.

1993

     "Someone Who'll Watch Over Me" Broadway with Stephen Rea.
     "Under Milk Wood" 40th Anniversary Production, New York City.
     "Nora" Williamstown Theatre Festival with Linda Purl.

1996

     Host: "Ira Gershwin at 100" Carnegie Hall.
