Early Career:
Born: March 27, 1942, at Fulmer, Buckinghamshire, England.
Performed in many school plays.
Founding member of British National Youth Theatre (1958).
Performed Shakespeare in London’s West End and Paris and toured Holland and Italy.
At Oxford University (1961–64) appeared in over twenty productions including The Hostage, Prometheus Bound, Othello and Twelfth Night.
Played title role in production of Romeo and Juliet that toured Israel.
Appeared in productions at the semi-professional Bromley Little Theatre and toured with Prospect Productions.
